MDOT WEATHER ADVISORY: Flooding in Choctaw and Oktibbeha Counties
JACKSON, MISS., Friday, April 15, 2011— The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) would like to inform motorists of the following flood advisory in Choctaw and Oktibbeha Counties.
MDOT has issued a flood advisory for motorists traveling along Highway 15, Highway 9, Highway 413 in Choctaw County and Highway 389 in Oktibbeha County.
MDOT strongly urges motorists to avoid this area and suggests taking an alternate route.
MDOT would also like to remind motorists that attempting to travel trough flooded areas is extremely dangerous and should be avoided at all cost.
