Two masked men held up a group of approximately 10 partiers in a Columbus apartment Saturday morning.
The Columbus Police Department reports a group of friends returned to an apartment at 221 Fourth St. N. after leaving a party at Zachary”s restaurant on Fifth Street North and continued to party. Shortly after 4 a.m., two tall black males wearing ski masks and brandishing pistols entered the unlocked apartment and ordered everyone on the floor.
In the midst of collecting the victims” wallets, cell phones and cash, the suspects struck one victim in the face with a pistol. As the suspects were leaving, they fired two shots through a glass door.
The victims did not see the suspects flee, but a police dog unit temporarily trailed a scent near the scene, leading officers to believe the men fled on foot.
