Oh my gosh, folks. We’ve got a new restaurant.
OMG Grill House is officially open in Starkville. The “fine dining of fast food” is hosting its soft opening this week 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. During the weekend, you can try the new restaurant until 9 p.m. Owner T.A. Amos is excited to open in Starkville and wants to serve the city and its patrons well.
Head on over to 106 Avenue of Patriots, the former 1883 Smokehouse, to try OMG’s fried catfish, wagyu burgers, wings, rib tips and more.
Moving over to Columbus, we have a couple new businesses in the area.
A landscaping company is expanding into a garden center and nursery. S & S Landscaping first opened in 2011, and will officially open its garden center storefront at 4330 Hwy. 12 E. in Steens by March.
Owner Will Spann said he’s excited to give planters and gardeners another option this spring when they start preparing their gardens.
“I always wanted to own a nursery, my whole life,” Spann said. “I figured it would be a good idea to open up a place that gives people another option in town.”
Spann said with his landscaping company, S & S could be a “one-stop-shop” for folks. You can come peruse the indoor and outdoor plants, speak to professionals about installation and have S & S do the dirt and sod work all in one stop.
Once open, you can find your next yard or greenhouse project in Steens Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays 7:30 a.m. to noon. Be sure to stay up to date with S & S on social media for opening dates and business changes.
In East Columbus, there’s a new esthetician in town. Beyonce McCrary opened her spa PamperMe Pretty where she offers various services including facials, waxing, black head removals, microshading brows and more.
McCrary opened shop at 118 S. McCrary Road, Suite 134 early this year.
“Come in getting pampered, leave out feeling pretty,” McCrary said. “It is a pleasure serving Columbus and the surrounding areas because it gives me a chance to help people and their beauty needs. I am very excited to open up and share my knowledge to ones that are interested in getting pampered or interested in the beauty industry.”
McCrary added in the first week, business has been booming. Be sure to check out the new spa to help you feel comfortable in your skin! You can make appointments online Mondays through Friday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Check out https://pampermepretty.as.me for more details.
Speaking of makeovers, if your business needs a little pick-me-up, there’s a new firm in town for you.
Digital Space Branding opened its public relations agency in Columbus just last month.
The agency offers email marketing consultations, social media services, social media push and more.
Business owners Angela Bell and Laketra Vaughn opened Digital Space Branding to help assist local businesses that need an online presence.
“We want local businesses to know that we are here to help,” Bell said. “You can use social media and the digital space to grow your business for good.”
Digital Space Branding works virtually from its at-home office. Bell said she likes to meet businesses where they are to find the best path to propel their business forward.
