A U.S. Marshals fugitive task force arrested four people Monday near the Wendy”s on Alabama Street.
Marshals were after Lavares Montrell Jackson, 26, of 219 Meadow Drive, and Jessica Kendra Cannon, 23, of 319 Hemlock Road, who had been indicted by a Lowndes County grand jury for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.
They found Jackson driving Cannon”s car on Alabama Street. After he was arrested, Cannon showed up and was also arrested.
After they were arrested, Jackson”s mother, Jacquelin Jackson, and his brother, Quinten Jackson, came to the scene and began causing a disturbance. She was arrested for disorderly conduct and he was arrested for resisting arrest and simple assault on a police officer.
Lavares was also charged with possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a stolen firearm.

Columbus Police Department
· Tabarris Donta Conner, 24, of 1010 22nd St. S., was arrested Sunday near his residence. He was charged with burglary of a house.
· Leonard Bernard Cureton, 46, a resident at the Gilmer Inn, was arrested at the hotel Sunday. He was charged with public drunkenness, resisting arrest and malicious mischief.
· Gilbert Andrew Brownlee Jr., 57, of 100 Angela Drive, was arrested Sunday at Wilkins Wise Road and Highway 45. He was charged with possession of cocaine.
· Glaster Smith, 26, of 2801 Eighth Ave. S., was arrested Monday on Eighth Avenue South. He was charged with burglary of a house.
· Vickie Lynette Bankhead, 40, of 900 Waterworks Road Apt. K, was arrested Monday at her residence. She was charged with acting under a false pretense.
Lowndes County Sheriff”s Office
· Brent Conley, 29, of 60 Aztec Drive in Starkville, was arrested Feb. 23 at 8731 S. Frontage Road. He was charged with grand larceny of more than $500.
· April Joy Richardson, 32, of 385 Blaylock Road in Steens, was arrested Monday at Dutch Village. She was charged with burglary.
Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics
· Travis Hanley Frembgen, 20, of 40037 Boyd Road in Hamilton, was taken into custody Feb. 24 at the Lowndes County jail. He was charged with having a forged, false or fraudulent prescription.
· Richard Brian Anderson, 40, of 63 Mason Drive, was arrested Saturday at the Military Road Quick Stop. He was charged with possession of cocaine.
Mississippi Highway Patrol
· Ronald James Johnson, 43, of 1760 Harrison Road in Steens, was arrested Saturday at Highway 12 and Steens Road. He was charged with driving under the influence, first offense, and possession of a weapon by a felon.
