Columbus police received and responded to the call at 18th Street North and Seventh Avenue North at 12:06 p.m., according to Assistant Police Chief Fred Shelton. When police arrived, they found a young man with a gunshot wound to the leg lying in a Ford Crown Victoria. An ambulance transported him to Baptist.
