A Tupelo man pleaded guilty Wednesday to the sexual battery of a minor.
Thomas White is set to be sentenced for the crime at 9 a.m. today in Lowndes County Circuit Court.
According to his indictment, White assaulted a 14-year-old girl between December 2019 and March 2020. The victim and White knew each other, but they were not related.
White was initially indicted for the crime in 2022, but he fled Columbus. The U.S. Marshals Service located White in Tupelo in April 2023 and arrested him.
