STARKVILLE — A Starkville man faces domestic violence charges after allegedly cutting a woman, according to a press release from the Starkville Police Department.
Alfonsso Garcia, 53, is charged with domestic violence aggravated assault.
Police responded to the University Hills Mobile Home Park on Highway 182 East after receiving a 911 call about a domestic disturbance at about 7:40 p.m. Friday.
When they arrived, officers found a woman suffering from knife wounds and other physical injuries. Garcia and the victim were dating, SPD Public Information Officer Sgt. Brandon Lovelady told the Dispatch.
Garcia is being held at the Oktibbeha County Jail with a $25,000 bond. No more charges are expected to be filed, Lovelady said.
