A Starkville man was arrested Friday in connection with a June 8 auto burglary.
Kendrick Bishop, 18, of 209 Lynn Lane, 7B, was found by Starkville Police hiding in a closet in his apartment around 12:30 p.m. after an unidentified individual alerted police to his location. He is currently being held in the Clay County jail awaiting bond.
Bishop was caught on surveillance video earlier this month at a Sprint Mart near Lynn Lane using a credit card stolen in an auto burglary at the Starkville Sporstplex, which is located on Lynn Lane.
The SPD publicized the video and received tips to Bishop”s identity through Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers.
Bishop has been charged with identity theft and additional charges are possible.
