OKTIBBEHA COUNTY — A man was arrested for burglarizing a home on Misty Lee Lane on Thursday evening.
Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Brett Watson said Marcus Williams, 22, Houston, allegedly broke into the home of someone he knew at about 7:30 p.m.
When deputies arrived, Williams led them on a brief foot chase, which ended with the deputies surrounding Williams and arresting him, Watson said.
Williams has been charged with burglary, a felony, as well as disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace and resisting arrest, all misdemeanors. Watson said the investigation is still ongoing.
Williams’ bond was set at $26,000. As of press time on Friday, he was still being held in Oktibbeha County jail.
