A Caledonia man already on parole from the Mississippi Department of Corrections is behind bars after allegedly throwing bricks at a neighbor.
Deputies with the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office arrested Tavarris Guyton, 28, of 396 Kidd Road at his home Tuesday after responding to a disturbance call on the road. Guyton had apparently been in an argument with an acquaintance down the street and began throwing bricks at the acquaintance, according to Capt. Ryan Rickert with the LCSO.
Guyton was convicted of possession of marijuana in 2013. He was sentenced to eight years in MDOC with eight suspended and five years probation.
Though his bond for the aggravated assault was set for $10,000, no bond has been set for violation of parole. Guyton is still in custody.
