Columbus police investigators believe a couple’s lovers’ spat Saturday morning turned into a shootout.
Officers with Columbus Police Department are searching for suspects in the alleged shooting at the 1600 block of Fourth Avenue North. Investigators believe a couple in a domestic dispute began shooting at each other, and bullets stuck their neighbor’s home and a vehicle parked nearby, according to Assistant Chief Fred Shelton.
No one was injured in the incident, but there were people in neighbor’s home at the time the bullets struck it.
Shelton said police have identified suspects and expect to make an arrest soon. However, he did not release the names of the suspects by press time.
