A Starkville man faces a murder charge after a juvenile was shot and killed at Camelot Apartments Friday.
The Starkville Police Department charged Neal Anthony Anderson, 28, of 15A Harlem St., Starkville, with murder.
Officers responded to Camelot Apartments about 7:30 p.m. Friday after receiving a report of shots fired in the area.
Law enforcement agents found a black juvenile male on the ground after they arrived. The juvenile died at the scene, a SPD release states.
Anderson was arrested at the scene.
SPD released no further details about the incident or the arrest.
Messages to SPD Det. Brandon Lovelady were not returned Saturday. Oktibbeha County Coroner Michael Hunt did not release the victim’s name.
The case is still under investigation. Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to call SPD at 662-323-4134.
