A Columbus woman was arrested Wednesday night after she used a Nissan Altima to solve a domestic dispute.
Summer Cowson, 27, was charged with domestic violence/aggravated assault after allegedly running over her boyfriend, according to Lowndes County Sheriff Eddie Hawkins.
Hawkins said Cowson lent her Altima to her boyfriend after he told her he needed it to go to work. About 5:45 p.m. she saw her car parked outside another woman’s residence near Providence Place Apartments. She confronted him.
“He tried to walk away down the road, and she got in her car and ran over him,” Hawkins said.
The victim was taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle with non-life-threatening injuries, Hawkins said.
Deputies pulled Cowson over and arrested her at the intersection of Highway 69 and Highway 182, Hawkins said.
She is being held in Lowndes County Adult Detention Center.
