NOXUBEE COUNTY – A two-vehicle crash on Highway 45 Alternate and Highway 388 Tuesday left one man dead and another hospitalized.
Eric Harris, 38, of Crawford, was pronounced dead on the scene, Mississippi Highway Patrol Sgt. Derrick Beckom said in a press release.
Harris was a passenger in a 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe traveling west on Highway 388 when, just before 6 p.m., it collided with a 2025 Freightliner traveling south on Highway 45 Alternate.
The driver of the Tahoe was also injured in the crash, and he was airlifted to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the crash, Beckom said.
