A Columbus woman is dead after a Thursday wreck on Highway 25, according to Starkville Police Department Public Information Officer Brandon Lovelady.
At 12:15 p.m. SPD responded to a head-on collision on Highway 25 south of Highway 12. A car traveling northbound on the southbound lane of Highway 25 hit a southbound vehicle, Lovelady said. Both drivers were airlifted to Memphis for treatment.
Mary Ann Green, 66, of Columbus, was the driver of the car traveling north in the southbound lane, Lovelady said. She died of her injuries on Friday.
