WEST POINT — Two men — one from Columbus, the other from West Point — remained in jail on drug charges, Friday afternoon.
On Thursday, a traffic stop initiated by the Clay County Sheriff Department resulted in the arrest of Michael Fort, 32, of 91 Wilson Drive in Columbus and Tenorio Lucas, 25, of 910 Progress St. in West Point.
Chief Deputy Eddie Scott stated the two individuals were charged with possession of a controlled subject (codeine). The arrests were the result of a joint investigation with the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and West Point Police Department.
