One man is in jail and another injured after a Thursday shooting on the Southside of Columbus.
The incident occurred in the area of 15th Avenue South and 6th Street South just before 5 p.m. Thursday, according to a press release issued by the Columbus Police Department.
One person was injured in the incident and transported to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. The location of the wound and the severity of the victim’s injuries are not being released. A suspect was taken into custody Friday and expected to be formally charged Monday, according to CPD Capt. Brent Swan.
The incident is currently under investigation.
