A Columbus man was killed Saturday morning in a two-vehicle collision on Military Road.
Lowndes County Coroner Greg Merchant identified the man as Jason Paul Harrison, 45, in a text to media outlets.
The accident occurred at about 10:34 a.m. Saturday, according to a press release from Mississippi Highway Patrol Sgt. Derrick Beckom.
Harrison was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe southbound near the Military Road and Military Chapel Lane intersection when the vehicle collided with a northbound pickup and then struck a tree, Merchant said.
Harrison sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, the release said.
No other injuries were reported. MHP is investigating the crash.
