We’ve got two new salon spots open in Starkville.
The Wax Club, 300 Greensboro St., opened last week. Peggy Briggs, who also owns the Beauty Bar on Lafayette Street, added the Wax Club to expand due to the growing demand for waxing services.
“Waxing has been our most popular service at The Beauty Bar for many years,” she said. “I have loved waxing for a long time, because I thrive in a fast paced environment. I spent many years perfecting my waxing skills and establishing a reputation for them. …There is a high demand for waxing services performed using our techniques.”
The Wax Club offers Brazilian waxing, brow and lash tint, lash lifts, brow lamination and more.
Check out the new spot Tuesdays through Fridays 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The other new beauty studio that opened this month is Hair 100 Beauty Studio, 317 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. It will offer various beauty services including manicures, pedicures and more. As of now, it offers men’s clothes, women’s accessories, hair services, and more.
The husband and wife duo, Atoya and Robert Roland, wanted to open a beauty shop that offered a welcoming environment for everyone. Atoya first found her love and passion for the beauty industry through selling wigs. Be sure to check out the new beauty studio Mondays through Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Moving over to Columbus, a boutique has announced it is moving to downtown. Bella Blu and Garrett + Co., currently located on Wilkins Wise Road, will have its grand reopening July 20. The incoming boutique will be located at 110 Fifth S. S., the former Rae’s Jewelry building. Bella Blu owner Stephanie Studdard announced the move on social media. Bella Blu is currently having a moving sale with $5 accessories, $15 clothes rack and a 50% off rack. Check out Bella Blu’s sale now and the new shop’s location in July.
With the Game Time Athletics move to Bluecutt Road, there’s a new business on the block. Just behind Game Time Athletics gymnasium, you can now find Bluecutt Storage. At the same address, 3500 Bluecutt Road, is a new storage facility with temperature controlled units and 24/7 access. The former Boat Gallery storage lot was also converted to store RVs, boats and other recreational vehicles with secured gated access.
Office hours are everyday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can also rent a storage unit completely online by checking out their website at bluecuttstorage.com.
