Katie McCrary, director of people and culture at McCrary-West Construction, has been named to the Women We Admire Top 50 Women Leaders in Construction and Public Works.
The distinction is given to women in construction who bring innovative ideas and fresh approaches to problem-solving in their companies. They also display exceptional skills in project management, strategic decision-making and fostering a collaborative work environment.
McCrary joined the company in her role in 2007 and has overseen all safety and employee issues and recruitment.
McCrary has also been a member of the management board for Global Connections since 2009, working with the organization’s Kenyan partners on budgets for its programs, monthly expenses, socially responsible investing and workforce development.
She serves as a commission member for CREATE Foundation and is a founding member of the FORGE Foundation, which aims to support local construction companies by working to create and promote new jobs in the field.
