The following arrests were made by Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office and the Columbus Police Department

  • Eugene Andrew Elliot, 37, 8121 Highway 12 E., Steens, was arrested May 19 by LCSO and charged with sex offender, failure to report. He was released the same day on $5,000 bail.
  • Timothy Jermaine Harris, 25, 1394 John Smart Road, Crawford, was arrested May 16 at 1463 John Smart Road in Crawford by MDOC and charged with violation of probation.
  • Cicely Alyse Hopkins, 26, 114 Poplar St., was arrested May 19 at 1501 Main St. by CPD and charged with arson. She was released the same day on $3,500 bail.
  • Deborah Lynn Johnston, 48, 114 14th St. N., was arrested May 19 by MDOC and charged with violation of probation.
  • Martell Martinez Taylor, 27, 777 Blalock Road, Steens, was arrested May 17 on Military Road by LCSO and charged with fleeing in a motor vehicle, possession of marijuana, three counts of disobey a traffic control device, improper passing, driving on the wrong wide of the road, and aggravated assault on an officer with a weapon. He is being held on a combined $31,320 bail.
  • Arthur Danagelo Davidson, 18, 320 11th St. N., was arrested May 17 by CPD at 1501 Main St. and charged with aggravated assault with a weapon or other means to produce death.
