Applications are now available to participate in Columbus Police Department’s 2026 Citizens Police Academy.
The multi-week academy gives residents an opportunity to learn about day-to-day operations inside the department through classroom instruction and interactive sessions, including patrol procedures, investigations, community policing and more.
Classes, which are open to any city resident, begin March 13, and applications can be picked up either from CPD at 1501 Main St. or the federal programs office at 1621 Main St. All applications must be returned to the department no later than Feb. 9.
For more information, contact CPD at (662) 244-3500.
