Five Columbus men were arrested Tuesday night after a drive-by shooting at McKee Park.
Starkville police responded to a shots-fired incident at the park at about 9:11 p.m., according to a post on SPD’s Facebook page. No one was injured. The post also notes the suspects were gambling.
Officers located the weapon used, along with other weapons in a vehicle, and arrested Jaylen Harris, 18; Karon Hawk, 19; Jamarkus Hood, 19; Antonio Roland, 17; and Levaris Williams, 19, all of Columbus.
Authorities are asking anyone with information on the shooting to call 662-323-4131 or Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers at 800-530-7151, or post through the anonymous tip system on SPD’s website.
