Just in time for Christmas, the Columbus Base Community Council has begun selling 500 copies of the 173-page book, “Heritage to Horizons, a History of Columbus AFB 1942-2007.”
The book, written by Connie Lisowski, describes in intimate details and photographs the history of the military base, which is five years older than the U.S. Air Force.
Copies of the book, which costs $20 for members and $25 for non-members, can be picked up at Neel-Schaffer Inc.”s 2310 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive office between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
