Cases heard in this session of 16th Circuit Court in Lowndes County:
Mary Pennington, of 933 Richardson Road in Columbus, was found guilty of sale of cocaine. Pennington was sentenced to eight years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections with five years of post-release supervision and ordered to pay a $5,000 fine.
Russell Jordan, of 177 Pearrow Drive, in Caledonia was convicted of aggravated assault. Jordan was sentenced to three years in MDOC with three years of post-release supervision.
Royal R. Mayfield, of 1766 Highway 69 S. in Columbus ,pleaded guilty to grand larceny. Mayfield was sentenced to five years probation and fined $1,000.
Aubrey Gardner, of 634 31st Ave. N. in Columbus, pleaded guilty to grand larceny. Gardner was sentenced to five years probation and fined $1,000.
Jameka Conner, of 380 E. Plum St. in Columbus, pleaded guilty to identity theft. Conner was sentenced to five years probation.
n Douglas Ray Phelps, of 201 Cole Road in Columbus, was found guilty of aggravated assault. Phelps was sentenced to five years in MDOC and five years of post-release supervision and fined $29,462.
Kanderick K. Duck, of 123 Long St. Apt. A in Starkville, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana. Duck was sentenced to four years in MDOC and three years of post-release supervision.
Erica Green, of 1703 Bell Ave. in Columbus ,pleaded guilty to aggravated assault/domestic violence. Green was sentenced to 10 years in MDOC and five years of post-release supervision.
Isaac Morgan, of 2601 5th Ave. N. in Columbus, pleaded guilty to sale of cocaine. Morgan was sentenced to 12 years in MDOC and five years of post-release supervision and fined $5,000.
Jeremy Moody of 129 Wind Chase in Columbus pleaded guilty to prescription forgery. Moody was sentenced to five years probation.
Thomas Lee Sides, of 3113 W. Lindsay Ferry Road in Columbus, pleaded guilty to failure to register as a sex offender. Sides was sentenced to five years in MDOC.
Phillip Sanders, of 1429 Phillips Hill Road in Columbus, pleaded guilty to felony false pretense. Sanders will be sentenced Aug. 28.
Joyce Ann Wiggins, of 946 Monroe St. in Columbus, pleaded guilty to shoplifting, more than $500, and possession of stolen property. Wiggins was sentenced to two terms of two years in MDOC, to run consecutively, and five years of post-release supervision.
