Starkville police arrested a 16-year-old on domestic violence charges for a Monday night shooting that damaged a car but left no injuries, according to a Tuesday press release from the Starkville Police Department.
Jaylan Sullivan faces two charges of aggravated assault after shooting a vehicle in the parking lot of the Sprint Mart convenience store at the Shell gas station on North Jackson Street. SPD responded at 9:20 p.m. Monday to a report of shots fired and arrested Sullivan on Tuesday, according to the press release.
SPD Public Information Officer Brandon Lovelady said Sullivan knew the occupants of the vehicle and shot it as they were driving away.
Sullivan is being held in the Oktibbeha County Jail on $250,000 bond.
