Christmas is a time of giving, receiving and showing love. God showed His love to us by giving His Son Jesus as a gift to the world. As Christians, we can extend His love by showing our love to others. Therefore, let us rejoice, the Saviour is born! “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) KJV
The birth of Jesus was an invitation to all of us to experience peace and goodwill. In a world torn by conflict, division and unrest, His peace will take away worry, grief, anxiety, disappointments and calm our troubling minds. So let us rejoice that the Saviour is born! “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” (Luke 2:14) KJV
May the joy of Christmas be a constant presence in our lives, reminding us of the true source of happiness found in Jesus. The joy that Jesus gives is not a joy that comes and goes; it is consistent. Even in difficult times, we are called to maintain our joy, knowing that God is always with us and supports us through every situation we encounter. When we are filled with joy from the Lord, we can rejoice because the Saviour is born! “Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.” (Psalm 32:11) KJV
When the shepherds returned from visiting Jesus, they begin to glorify God, expressing their awe and reverence for what they had seen and heard. Let us be inspired to share the good news to others just as they did, glorifying God in all we say and do. Then we can rejoice the Saviour is born! “And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.” (Luke 2:20) KJV
As the wise men traveled from the East, searching for Jesus the light of the star was a sign they had been hoping for. Just as the light of the star led the wise men to Jesus, we must allow the light of Jesus to shine through us to lead others to Him. Once we do this, we can rejoice the Saviour is born! “And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.” (Matthew 2:11) KJV
So be encouraged today and always remember to rejoice the Saviour is born! “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.” (Luke 2:11) KJV
Merry Christmas!
