Prayer is one of the most powerful weapons God has given us. As Christians, when we pray in faith, we can experience the power of prayer changing things in our lives. “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” (James 5:16) NIV
There are times when we feel like God is far away and not listening to us when we call on Him in prayer. However, God always hears us but we have to keep praying until we receive our answer from Him; prayer will change things. “Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.” (Jeremiah 29:12) NKJV
All of us have enemies that we have to deal with from time to time. It can be difficult at times to love someone that hates us for no reason, mistreats us, and does evil things against us. Nevertheless, we have to pray to God to help us love them and He will do it; prayer will change things. “But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you.” (Matthew 5:44) NLT
A lot of times we want God to change our situations immediately, especially when we have been in it for a long time. Although we might not see change right away, we can’t stop praying. God is working it out for our good; prayer will change things. “Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer.” (Roman 12:12) KJV
We all face moments when our flesh gets weak. That’s why we have to watch and pray to stay spiritually alert. By doing this, it will strengthen us through prayer before temptation comes; prayer will change things. “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (Matthew 26:41) KJV
Sometimes we find ourselves worrying about things that are out of our control. Worrying too much can make it harder to sleep and make it harder to deal with the problems we’re worrying about. So let us stop worrying and start praying; prayer will change things. “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” (Philippians 4:6) NLT
If you have been suffering from an illness and your doctor’s report is not good, don’t give up. Start praying the prayer of faith and you will be healed; prayer will change things. “And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.” (James 5:15) KJV
So be encouraged today and always remember: when we pray and believe, we will receive what we ask God for; prayer will change things. “Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” (Mark 11:24) KJV
