As children of God, we will have to endure some difficult trials and tribulations that can lead to fear, doubt or despair. However, we can’t let these things hinder us. We must keep working for Jesus; it will pay off afterwhile. “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.” (James 1:12 KJV)
Sometimes we will suffer persecution. We will be lied on, talked about and even criticized. Nevertheless, we can’t let what people say stop us. We have to keep working for Jesus; it will pay off afterwhile. “Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.” (Matthew 5:11-12 KJV)
Even when we face adversity, ridicule and disappointment, we must remain steadfast and keep working for Jesus; it will pay off afterwhile. “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 15:38 KJV)
Some of us have been running in the Christian race for a long time, but we can’t let distractions pull us away now. We must press toward the prize that lies ahead of us and keep working for Jesus; it will pay off afterwhile. “I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.” (Philippians 3:14 NLT)
There will be times when we want to throw up our hands and say, “I quit.” During these times, we can’t give up. We have to keep working for Jesus; it will pay off afterwhile. “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” (Galatians 6:9 KJV)
Despite the obstacles that come our way, Jesus has given us victory to overcome. So let us keep working for Jesus; it will pay off afterwhile. “But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 15:57 KJV)
We will have barriers in our lives that can feel overwhelming. They can be personal limitations, external hurdles or mental blocks. In times like these, we must keep the faith and keep working for Jesus; it will pay off afterwhile. “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1 KJV)
So be encouraged today and always remember: Keep working for Jesus until the end, and we will hear Him say, “Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” (Matthew 25:23 KJV)
