Students at Immanuel Christian Center were recently rewarded with a SuperKids field day by the American Lung Association in Mississippi after raising approximately $1,000 to support the organization. Students participated in games such as relays, potato sack races and a tug-o-war competition.
Katie Wansley collected the most money overall, raising $155, and was recognized as the Top SuperKid. She received a karaoke machine as a grand prize.
SuperKids is an annual tobacco education program by the Lung Association that includes a tobacco educational talk prior to the field day.
