The Junior Auxiliary of Columbus Crown Club (JACCC) is thrilled to announce it recently completed the first of many projects for the 2022-2023 academic year.
From Aug. 3 to Aug. 12, JACCC members and Junior Auxiliary active members used chalk to write positive messages and fun drawings on the sidewalks of Columbus Municipal School District’s elementary schools and Lowndes County School District’s elementary schools. Last year, this project was a huge success.
“We are extremely grateful for the opportunity to complete our ‘Chalk the Sidewalks’ project for the second year,” said Crown Club President Natalie Bishop. “Last year, we received an overwhelmingly positive response from the community and school administrators, which allowed us to increase our number of local elementary schools chalked to 12.”
The goal of this project is to bring positivity, encouragement and a little bit of fun to the start of the school year.
Crown Club, sponsored by Junior Auxiliary of Columbus, is a service-based organization with a purpose of providing local high school girls an opportunity to grow through service to the local community.
