■ Bulldog Bash: The state’s largest, free outdoor concert will start at 7 p.m. at the intersection of Jackson and Main Streets in downtown Starkville, with Grammy-winning rapper Ludacris taking the stage at 9:15 p.m. There will also be a Maroon Market arts festival featuring local musicians, arts, food vendors, and a kid zone starting at 3:30 p.m.

■ Little Hands Big Trucks: United Way of the Golden Triangle Region is hosting its 12th annual Little Hands Big Trucks event at the Roger Short Soccer Complex, giving children of all ages the opportunity to see big equipment, like fire trucks, ambulances, excavators and more. The event will last from 9 a.m. to noon, with 9-10 a.m. acting as a sensory friendly hour. Armbands to access the event will be $5 per persona and will be available at the event.

■ Pedestrian Bridge Reopening Ceremony: The Columbus Mayor and City Council will be hosting a ribbon cutting celebrating the reopening of the pedestrian bridge at the Riverwalk Stage. A performance by the Grace Notes String Trio starts at 2 p.m., followed by the ceremony at 2:30 p.m. A free concert will follow, featuring Delta Rising and John Mohead.
