■ Community Event Series: The Oktibbeha County Heritage Museum is hosting speaker Katie Robertson, speaking about the history of handkerchiefs at 10:30 a.m. She will be showing her collection of handkerchiefs.

■ Annual Campaign Kick Off: United Way of the Golden Triangle Region is hosting its $50K Your Way raffle and annual campaign kick-off at Munson and Brothers from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Raffle winners will be announced. There will also be food trucks, live music and inflatable jumpers for children.

■ Butterfly Bonanza: The Lowndes County Master Gardeners will be hosting its annual Butterfly Bonanza at the Butterfly Garden at 40 Moore’s Creek Road. The event will be from 9-11 a.m. and will include Mississippi State University handouts and kids activities.
■ OCHS Dog Paddle: The Oktibbeha County Humane Society will be hosting its annual dog paddle at Moncrief Pool. Early online registration is available until Aug. 28 for $25. Day-of registration will be available for $30. Each additional dog is $10. Or, humans without dogs present can pay a $5 spectator fee at the door. More info: ochs.org/event/dogpaddle.

■ Grillin’ with Dads: The Columbus Recreation Department and Northeast Mississippi Healthy Start Program are hosting a pop-up village event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the East Columbus Gym, 222 Lawrence St. Vendors will be providing information about nutrition, parenting, newborn care, health insurance, early childhood development and mental health services.
