■ Gospel Jubilee 2025: First United Methodist Church in Starkville will present at 5 p.m. a program of southern Gospel music, featuring the Jubilee Choir, Jubilee Men’s Quartet and Jubilee Soloists. The program will be followed by an ice cream social.

■ Artesia Day Festival: Three days of music mark the 27th annual festival. Performances start at 6 p.m. Thursday, 5 p.m. Friday and 4 p.m. Sunday. Security strictly enforced.

■ Highway Dedication Ceremony: There will be a ceremony dedicating a portion of Highway 82 from Columbus to the Oktibbeha County line as the “Dayton Egger Memorial Highway” at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church, 3000 Bluecutt Road.
■ National Night Out in Lowndes: Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office is hosting an event at 5-8 p.m. for National Night Out. This will include free food, drinks and entertainment, along with giving community members a chance to interact with law enforcement. Bring a canned or non-perishable food item for the little free food pantries to be entered into a drawing for a free dinner for two at Old Hickory Steakhouse.
