■ Little Hands Big Trucks: United Way of the Golden Triangle Region will be hosting an event from 9 a.m. to noon at the Roger Short Soccer Complex featuring big trucks and equipment, like fire trucks, ambulances, excavators and more. Between 9-10 a.m., there will be a sensory friendly hour. Armbands will be $5 per person at the door.
■ Oktoberfest: Munson and Brothers is hosting a two-day Oktoberfest event featuring music, food, drinks and games starting Friday. Festivities continue at 10 a.m. Saturday.
■ Seventh Avenue Heritage Festival: The Seventh Avenue Heritage Festival, touted as the “biggest free block party in Mississippi,” is returning to the city at the corner of Seventh Avenue and 15th Street North. For vendor and other information, call (662) 400-0873.
■ Burns Bottom Arts Festival: During the Munson and Brothers fifth annual Oktoberfest, there will be a small festival featuring arts and crafts vendors from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
■ The Producers: Starkville Community Theatre presents “The Producers.” The musical is based on the book by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan, with music and lyrics by Mel Brooks. A matinee performance will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday. For more information, go to sct-online.org.
■ Oktoberfest Art Village: Dave’s Dark Horse Tavern is hosting an Oktoberfest Art Village from 7 p.m. to midnight, featuring nine artists.
■ Umble Coffee Co. Fall Festival: Umble Coffee will be hosting a fall festival from 8 p.m. to midnight at 216 Industrial Park Road, which will include live music.
Sunday, Oct. 6
■ Pedestrian Bridge Reopening Ceremony: The Columbus Mayor and City Council will be hosting a ribbon cutting celebrating the reopening of the pedestrian bridge at the Riverwalk Stage. A performance by the Grace Notes String Trio starts at 2 p.m., followed by the ceremony at 2:30 p.m. A free concert will follow, featuring Delta Rising and John Mohead.
■ Branching Out: A pop-up art exhibition featuring the work of seven women artists will be at 515 University Dr. in Starkville. The show will run from 2-4 p.m. and will feature string music by the Lavender Trio. Refreshments will be provided.

■ Katie Boeck and J.M. Stevens: The Barn Concert series continues with a performance by Katie Boeck and J.M. Stevens. Doors open at 6 p.m., with music starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are available online at barnconcertseries.com.

■ Rocktober Fest: Muddy Waters Sports Bar is hosting Rocktober Fest, with doors opening at noon and live music starting at 2 p.m. Admission costs $25 at the door and $20 in advance. There will be jumpers, face painting, vendors, food and more.

■ Caledonia Days: The 20th Annual Caledonia Days will kick off Friday night at 6 p.m. with a performance by the band “Almost Famous.” Saturday’s events include more live music, arts and crafts, food venders, a car show, and jumpers. Events will take place at Ola J. Pickett Park.

■ John Paul White Concert: Grammy winning musician John Paul White will be performing at the Hump at Mississippi State University, alongside the Starkville-MSU Symphony Orchestra. ■ Fall unWINE Downtown: Members of Starkville Main Street will be opening their doors for a night of wine tasting and after-hours shopping from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door. Check-in will be at Bank of Kilmichael in Downtown Starkville.

■ Art in the Park: Starkville Area Arts Council will be hosting its annual Art in the Park event at McKee Park from 9 a.m. to noon. ■ Hospital Road Drive Thru Trick or Treat: OCH Regional Medical Center and other participating clinics on Hospital Road in Starkville will be participating in a drive thru trick or treat event, where families are encouraged to drive down the road and stop at clinics for fun and treats along the way. The drive thru will be from 5:30-7 p.m.

■ Heritage Museum Talk: Local historian Rufus Ward will be speaking about the Choctaw and Chickasaw tribes and the Trail of Tears at 10:30 a.m. at the Oktibbeha County Heritage Museum. The public is invited to attend.
