Junior Auxiliary of Columbus recently announced that $33,000 in scholarships have been awarded to 15 graduating high school seniors in Lowndes County.
Fifteen students from Caledonia High School, Columbus High School, the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science, New Hope High School, Heritage Academy and West Lowndes High School received the awards.
Junior Auxiliary Scholarship committee members presented the awards to several recipients during award ceremonies held at their respective schools.

The 2023 Eleanor Slaughter Excellence Scholarship Award recipient is Lauren Ashley Brown of Caledonia High School.
The 2023 Terry Brewer Spirit Scholarship Award recipient is Myah Jane Varner of New Hope High School.
