Cinco Fest will be Friday at Uno Mas, 106 Maxwell St., Starkville. There will be live music, tacos, karaoke, games and crawfish.

Trader Day will be on Saturday at the Oktibbeha County Co-op, 201 Pollard Road, Starkville. Vendors will have small animals, homemade goods and crafts and fresh produce.

Starkville
Dachshunds will take over the Cotton District Saturday for the inaugural Starkville Derby. Roughly 150 dachshunds are registered to race along University Drive. The event also will include an art market, food trucks and live music. The event is a fundraiser for the Oktibbeha County Humane Society. Free to attend.

The “Streams of Consciousness” exhibit by MSU fine arts seniors will have its public reception on Saturday at the three different galleries in the Colvard Student Union, the Cullis Wade Depot and the Visual Arts Center. Free to attend

Columbus Arts Council will host Kiroya Tsukamoto on Saturday, in the Omnova Theater at the Rosenzweig Arts Center. Tickets are $20.
