Participants create zine pages about Mississippi for future issues of Columbus Collective at MSU Stafford 100 in Starkville at 6 p.m. Supplies are provided, or attendees may bring their own.
Held at the R.R. Foil Plant Science Research Facility, 972 Highway 182 in Starkville, this field day runs from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring Extension specialists and university researchers presenting findings on crop performance, biostimulants, disease and insect management, and conventional and organic production options. Registration and admission is free.

Stokes-Beard Elementary, 311 MLK Jr. Drive, hosts an open house from 4 to 6 p.m. where families can meet teachers, drop off school supplies, explore classrooms and connect with staff. Kona Ice will be available for purchase through the PTO.
A homemade soup, salad, sandwich and sweets luncheon runs from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Wesley Center in Starkville, hosted by the MSU Wesley Foundation. Donations are accepted.
