Watermelon Field Day
July 22, 2026
The Watermelon Field Day will bring together growers, agricultural professionals, and garden enthusiasts to explore current watermelon research and production insights in an engaging, field-side setting.
Whether you’re curious about personal-size versus larger family-size watermelons, interested in seeded or seedless types, or simply enjoy the variety of flesh colors from white and yellow to orange and deep red, this event offers something for you.
Participants will hear from Extension specialists and university researchers about the latest findings on crop performance and practical approaches to biostimulants, disease, and insect management.
The event also provides opportunities to learn about both conventional and organic options and to observe how different management strategies compare in real plots.
