The 21st annual Southside Blues Festival presented by the Southside Festival Committee runs at Townsend Park, with gates opening at 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday for a men's/women's softball tournament, Youth Night Thursday, and live entertainment Saturday at 6 p.m. Admission is free.
Caledonia Main Street presents their annual fireworks show at Ola J. Pickett Park. This event is free and open to the public. Enjoy the show
Cornerstone Sports Complex hosts a fireworks show beginning at 6 p.m., with games, music, activities, bounce houses and food trucks. Fireworks begin around 9 p.m.
A gallery reception celebrating artists Lee Ann Merkl, Leigh Ann Edmonds and Mary Ellen Winborn takes place at 5:30 p.m. at the Columbus Arts Council, 501 Main St. Admission is free.
Blues on the River featuring Keith & Margie, Honeyboy & Boots, and Edna & Rev. Slim takes place at the Columbus Riverwalk at 5:30 p.m. The event is presented by the Columbus Arts Council. Visit columbusartscouncil.com.
Golden Triangle Theatre's gala at the Lyceum at Lee, 1815 Military Road, begins at 6 p.m. and features dinner, live entertainment, raffles and a silent auction. Table reservations are now being accepted. Tables seat 8. Email [email protected].
Held all day in historic downtown West Point, the annual festival features more than 200 vendors offering fine arts, handmade crafts, Southern food, live music, Kidtown and a 5K race. Proceeds benefit Sally Kate Winters Park improvements. Visit prairieartsfestival.org.
A screening and discussion of "Cole: Bridge to Justice" takes place at the Columbus Arts Council, 501 Main Street, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Red carpet begins at 5:30 p.m.; the screening runs 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Seating is limited; free tickets require an RSVP.
Classic and collector cars are on display at The Warehouse Market, 1008 Lynn Lane, Starkville, starting at 10 a.m. Admission is free; car entry is $35. Live music, food trucks and local vendors are featured, with proceeds benefiting Starkville Strong.
