Columbus teen charged with shooting another boy
One teenager was sent to the hospital and another was arrested after a shooting that put a Columbus business on lockdown. Thursday morning, 17-year-old Brandon Perry encountered another 17-year-old whom he argued with previously, according to Terrie Songer, public information officer for the Columbus Police Department.

Lowndes suspect nabbed in Plantersville
Plantersville police arrested a man last week who is suspected in a Lowndes County armed robbery.
Levelle Deshay Grandberry, 23, of 746 Gatlin Road in Columbus, was arrested Thursday on charges of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and receiving stolen property, according to a news release from the Plantersville Police Department.
