Playing for the first time at the Starkville SportsPlex, Starkville put an exclamation point on its 2011 home opener, rolling past Heritage Academy 25-21, 25-12, 25-10 on Monday night.

STARKVILLE — As junior defensive end Juan Cedano began to grab the football and rumble 95 yards for a touchdown, every New Hope High School football fan was trying to figure who that was winning the game for their team.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama football team held the first scrimmage of the 2011 camp Saturday afternoon in Bryant-Denny Stadium.
The scrimmage lasted more than two hours and started with one period of 7-on-7 before the team moved to 11-on-11 drills that included regular game situations, third-down situations, red area, goal line, coming out, and two-minute.
