An 18-year-old Starkville man was arrested Monday for possession of a firearm stolen during a burglary.
Nicholas Monroe, of 214 E. Pilcher Street, turned himself in to the Starkville Police Department around 6 p.m., where he was interviewed, served with a warrant and arrested. He is currently in the Clay County Jail with a $25,000 bond.
Another Starkville man, Joshua Michael Moore, 20, of 308 Mangrove Palm, was arrested Tuesday charged with grand larceny auto for stealing a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe Thursday in the Cotton District.
The vehicle was tracked to McKee Park with the help of On-Star navigation and Moore was later developed as a suspect. He was brought to the SPD Tuesday and arrested based on his statements. He, too, is currently in the Clay County Jail with a $5,000 bond.
The Oktibbeha County Sheriff”s Office and Starkville Parks and Recreation also assisted in the case.
