Authorities have arrested a Starkville man after a resident reportedly woke up Tuesday morning to find the suspect in their house.
Shaquille Andrews, 24, of Starkville, has been charged with burglary, according to a Starkville Police Department press release. The victim reported the break-in at about 12:25 a.m. at The Block Townhomes on South Montgomery Street.
Andrews fled the residence before Starkville police arrived, but was arrested after police found him in the area, according to SPD Public Information Officer Brandon Lovelady.
Andrews was booked into the Oktibbeha County Jail and is out on $5,000 bond.
Lovelady said no injuries were reported in the incident.
