STARKVILLE – A Starkville woman was arrested Thursday morning for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend to death.
Amiya Brown, 28, has been charged with first-degree murder, a Starkville Police Department press release said.
Officers at about 1 a.m. responded to a call about a reported stabbing at a Gladney Street home and found Tykell Harvey, 27, dead on the scene.
After an investigation by Starkville police officers they arrested Brown, who the press release said was in a romantic relationship with Harvey.
Brown is currently being held in Oktibbeha County Jail and her bond has not been set.
The investigation remains ongoing, the press release said.
