


Goalkeeper Sarah Wommack (Appalachian State) and forward Elsa Johnson (Xavier) are preparing to join the reigning SEC Regular Season Champions in Starkville.
Wommack is the more experienced of the two, having played every minute in net for App State this fall. She posted a 1.53 goals against average and made 64 saves on her way to four shutouts. The Kernersville, North Carolina, native did not play in her first season with the Mountaineers in 2023.
She played with NC Fusion on the club circuit and was the 2022 ULS Academy Cup Golden Glove winner. She was chosen to play in the 2021 Tennessee National Selection Game as a member of the Fusion. Wommack played two seasons for Northwest Guilford High School, earning the 4A Metro Defensive Player of the Year award in 2021 and earning all-state honors twice.
Johnson is a Mississippi native who spent her first season at Xavier where she played in six matches this fall. She totaled 83 minutes with two shots, putting one on frame against DePaul.
The Jackson product played at IMG Academy for three seasons and was selected for the Girls Academy Southeastern Talent ID Showcase all three seasons.
