East Mississippi Community College’s DeAndre Lewis and Dukiaha Jones – a West Point product – both added all-conference honors to their basketball accolades on Wednesday.
Lewis, a 6-foot-5 sophomore, was named to the All-MACCC Men’s Basketball Second Team while Jones, also a sophomore, earned honorable mention recognition on the women’s All-MACCC squad.
It is the second year in a row Jones has earned all-conference honors. She ended the 2024-2025 season as a member of the All-MACCC Women’s Basketball Second Team as a freshman. She led the team with 13.8 points a game, up from last year’s average of 10.4, and pulled down an average of five boards per contest. The former Green Wave reached 20 points five times on the season and set a new career high of 28 points against Northwest Mississippi Community College. Jones also finished out the 2025-2026 campaign with 75 steals. She closed out five games with at least six steals including nabbing eight twice.
Lewis, who was also named to the all-conference team last year as an honorable mention, finished this year as the team’s third leading scorer with 16.1 points per game and the team’s top rebounder with six boards a contest. Lewis shot 47.9% from the field, 40.4% from beyond the arc and 78.2% from the free throw line as the Lions finished the year 14-16 overall.
He reached the 20-point mark seven times throughout the season and tied his career high with 31 points in a 105-101 win over Wallace State-Hanceville and also notched three double-doubles.
