Mississippi State is coming off its second ranked win of the season.
The Bulldogs (5-3, 3-2 Southeastern Conference) beat No. 12 Kentucky 31-17 on Saturday at Davis Wade Stadium and now turn their attention to Arkansas at 3 p.m. Saturday.
After that, MSU has more information about another likely ranked matchup: a road game at No. 12 Auburn (6-2, 3-1 SEC). That SEC contest will kick off at 11 a.m. and will be televised on ESPN, the conference announced Monday.
With the announcement, Mississippi State now knows the times for each of its remaining games. The Bulldogs host Tennessee State at 11 a.m. Nov. 20 and face Ole Miss for the Golden Egg Trophy at 6:30 p.m. Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25.
Rogers, Sharp earn SEC honors
Quarterback Will Rogers and center LaQuinston Sharp were honored by the SEC on Monday for their performances against Kentucky.
Rogers earned the SEC co-offensive player of the week award after going 36 of 39 for 344 yards and a touchdown. He set the SEC single-game record for completion percentage and broke Dak Prescott’s single-season completions record with 327.
Sharp did not allow a single pressure and was named the conference’s offensive lineman of the week. He earned a pass blocking grade of 85.1 from Pro Football Focus, the best mark among all SEC centers this week.
Sharp is the second straight MSU offensive lineman to win the weekly award. Left tackle Charles Cross was named co-offensive lineman of the week after the Bulldogs’ 45-6 win Oct. 23 at Vanderbilt.
