The Mississippi State football team has won both of its Southeastern Conference road games this season.
And after Saturday’s home game against No. 12 Kentucky (6-1, 4-1 SEC), the Bulldogs (4-3, 2-2 SEC) will get ready for their third.
MSU’s road game at Arkansas (5-3, 1-3 SEC) will kick off at 3 p.m. Nov. 6 at Donald W. Reynolds Memorial Stadium in Fayetteville, Arkansas, the SEC announced Monday. The game will be televised on the SEC Network.
Mississippi State is coming off a 45-6 win over Vanderbilt (2-6, 0-4 SEC) on Saturday in Nashville, Tennessee. Arkansas enjoyed similar success against a nonconference opponent, routing Arkansas–Pine Bluff 45-3 in Little Rock.
Arkansas beat Mississippi State 21-14 on Oct. 3, 2020, in Starkville, shocking the Bulldogs after their 44-34 win over then-No. 6 LSU in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
The Razorbacks lead the all-time series between the two schools, 17-13-1.
Two Bulldogs win SEC weekly honors
A pair of Mississippi State players earned all-conference honors for their roles in Saturday’s victory over the Commodores.
Wide receiver Rara Thomas was named the SEC freshman of the week, while offensive lineman Charles Cross was named the SEC co-offensive lineman of the week.
Thomas caught five passes for 52 yards, including a 28-yard touchdown grab from Chance Lovertich.
Cross led the Bulldogs with an 80.6 grade from Pro Football Focus, was not penalized and did not allow a sack. He was named the SEC O-lineman of the week after MSU’s Sept. 11 win over North Carolina State.
