STARKVILLE — It was Yellow Jacket domination on Friday night at Starkville High School.
The Jackets’ boys and girls teams both posted comfortable home wins over Region 1-6A rival Oxford.
The Starkville girls beat Oxford 67-30. Je’Niecia Hill had 20 points, eighth-grader Zariah Brown had 13, and Jamaica Young had 10.
Makhi Myles scored 22 points and Connor Rogers had 11 as the Starkville boys handled Oxford 71-35.
The Starkville boys (16-4, 2-0 Region 1-6A) will play Monday at the Rumble in the South tournament in Clinton.
The Jackets girls will host Tupelo on Friday.

West Lowndes 39, Hamilton 23
ABERDEEN — West Lowndes girls basketball defeated Hamilton, 39-23, at the Aberdeen Shootout at Aberdeen High School on Saturday.
Panthers senior Titeyana Brewer was named game MVP, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
West Lowndes hosts Noxubee County in its next game at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
New Hope 40, Saltillo 34
SALTILLO — The New Hope girls got a big district road win Friday, beating Saltillo 40-34.
Madyson McBrayer led the Trojans with 10 points. Jada Jefferson added seven for New Hope.
The Trojans will host West Point on Tuesday looking for a 3-0 start to district play.
Delta Academy 54, Columbus Christian Academy 47
MARKS — The Columbus Christian Academy girls lost on the road Friday at Delta Academy, 54-47.
Faith Yeates scored 14 points to lead the Rams. Satavia Watkins scored 12, and Presley Andrews had eight.
Columbus Christian will play Tuesday at Hebron Christian.
Noxubee County 74, Hatley 36
MACON — Noxubee County’s girls team more than doubled up Hatley on Friday night, continuing a perfect start to Region 4-3A play.
Tootie Lockett had 31 points for the Tigers, who are 4-0 in their region. Jamaya Dancy scored 16, and Zachariah Averett added 12.
Noxubee County will play at West Lowndes on Tuesday.
Kirk Academy 42, Oak Hill Academy 29
GRENADA — The Oak Hill Academy girls experienced some scoring struggles in a 42-29 loss Friday at Kirk Academy.
The Raiders scored only 12 points in the second half.
Harley Vaughn led Oak Hill with nine points, while Allie Comer and Mary Beth Briggs each had eight.

SALTILLO — The New Hope boys emerged from Friday’s road district game at Saltillo with a hard-fought 57-52 win.
TJ Warren and Matthew Stennis had 12 points each, while Issace Grady had 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Makye Butler added eight points for the Trojans.
Delta Academy 75, Columbus Christian Academy 55
MARKS — The Columbus Christian boys fell short 75-55 against Delta Academy on Friday in Marks.
Joe Michael Edwards had 23 points to lead the Rams, for whom only five players scored.
Caleb McCarter added 11 points, and Mason Wright had eight. Garrett Weathers scored seven points, and Drake Shaw had six.
Oak Hill Academy 52, Kirk Academy 27
GRENADA — Oak Hill Academy beat Kirk Academy 52-27 in Friday’s game in Grenada.
Noah Brand led the Raiders with 16 points, and John Ross Craven added 15.
Oak Hill will host Marshall Academy on Tuesday.
Caledonia 62, Tishomingo County 55
IUKA — The Caledonia boys posted a 62-55 road win over Tishomingo County on Friday.
Tylen Simpson had 26 points to lead the Cavaliers.
Caledonia improved to 17-5 on the season.

SENATOBIA — The Starkville Academy boys held off Magnolia Heights 42-41 on the road Friday.
Rett Keenum had 21 points to lead the Volunteers, and AJ Jones added eight.
Starkville Academy (13-8, 6-1 district) will host Bayou Academy on Tuesday.
